RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Rosemary and Jimmy Breedlove on the occasion of their golden wedding
anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Rosemary and Jimmy Breedlove were joined in holy matrimony on May 31, 1957, at
Martha Brown United Methodist Church, and the year 2007 marks their 50th wedding
anniversary; and
WHEREAS,
Rosemary and Jimmy are a couple cherished throughout the community as a source
of immeasurable wisdom and loving support, and they have proudly watched their
family grow and flourish over the course of five decades; and
WHEREAS,
Rosemary is a devoted mother and grandmother and a long-time employee of the
National Bank of Georgia, Citizens Bank, and Southern Bank, retiring as an
assistant branch manager; and
WHEREAS,
she has provided her support as a team mother to numerous Little League
baseball, softball, football, and basketball teams; a den mother to her local
Cub Scout troop; a leader in her local PTA; and a small business owner operating
antique stores in both Covington and McDonough; and
WHEREAS,
Jimmy, a veteran of the Georgia National Guard and a graduate of Mercer
University, has served the Cedar Grove community as a pharmacist for many years;
and
WHEREAS,
he has worked diligently for 30 years as an employee at Delta Air Lines, earning
the 1999 Chairman's Club Award, the highest honor given to Delta employees, and
he has been a fantastic youth mentor, volunteering as a Little League coach for
baseball, softball, football, and basketball teams throughout the community;
and
WHEREAS,
Rosemary and Jimmy have donated countless hours of volunteer service as members
of the Salem United Methodist Church in Covington; and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding that they have demonstrated have
provided the foundation of success for their entire family; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor the selfless deeds and loving
devotion of this remarkable couple.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Rosemary and Jimmy Breedlove for their many decades of unyielding strength and
inspiring dedication to their family and community, congratulate them upon the
joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary, and extend to them their
sincerest best wishes for many more wonderful years together.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Rosemary and Jimmy
Breedlove.
