RESOLUTION
Expressing
sympathy at the passing of Perry Goad; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Perry Goad was a well-known member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church who lost his
life serving as a mission volunteer in the mountains of Honduras on February 6,
2007; and
WHEREAS,
he was dedicated to his family, his community, and his church, serving as a
vital member of the mission team, and had an indomitable passion for this work;
and
WHEREAS,
Perry Goad will always be remembered for his love of helping others and as an
outstanding husband, father, community leader, servant of God and his fellow
man, it is only fitting that this body honors and recognizes this man who gave
the ultimate sacrifice on February 6, 2007, and expresses its desire that his
memory serve an example to all to be faithful, honorable, and trustworthy in
carrying out those duties the Almighty has entrusted to us.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body express
regret at the passing of Perry Goad and convey their heartfelt sympathy to the
members of his family.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Perry Goad.
