                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To provide for the compensation of the board of education of 
  1- 2  Clinch County; to provide an effective date; to repeal 
  1- 3  conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 4       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 5                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 6  (a) The chairperson of the board of education of Clinch 
  1- 7  County shall receive a per diem of $150.00 for each day of 
  1- 8  attendance at regular meetings of the board and $50.00 for 
  1- 9  each day of attendance at called meetings of the board, not 
  1-10  to exceed one called meeting per week. 
 
  1-11  (b) The other members of the board of education of Clinch 
  1-12  County shall receive a per diem of $100.00 for each day of 
  1-13  attendance at regular meetings of the board and $50.00 for 
  1-14  each day of attendance at called meetings of the board, not 
  1-15  to exceed one called meeting per week. 
 
  1-16                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-17  This Act shall become effective on January 1, 1999. 
 
  1-18                           SECTION 3. 
 
  1-19  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
