A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend an Act providing a charter for the City of East
1- 2 Dublin, approved April 9, 1981 (Ga. L. 1981, p. 4645), as
1- 3 amended, so as to change the corporate limits; to repeal
1- 4 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
1- 5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1- 6 An Act providing a charter for the City of East Dublin,
1- 7 approved April 9, 1981 (Ga. L. 1981, p. 4645), as amended,
1- 8 is amended by adding a third unnumbered paragraph to Section
1- 9 1.11, relating to the corporate limits of said city, to read
1-10 as follows:
1-11 "To find the POINT OF BEGINNING at a point on the eastern
1-12 bank of the Oconee River, and immediately under and in the
1-13 center of the railroad trestle, which crosses the Oconee
1-14 River leading from the City of Dublin, which trestle is
1-15 jointly used by the Wrightsville and Tennille Railroad
1-16 Company and the Macon, Dublin & Savannah Railroad Company,
1-17 and running thence northerly along the center line of
1-18 Railroad tracks 67 degrees 30 minutes East a distance of
1-19 1231 feet to a point; thence from said point along the
1-20 center of the track of Macon, Dublin & Savannah Railroad
1-21 North 79 degrees 15 minutes East a distance of 650 feet to
1-22 a point; thence South 61 degrees 30 minutes East a
1-23 distance of 750 feet to a point; thence continuing along
1-24 the center of said railroad tracks South 35 degrees East a
1-25 distance of 1300 feet to a point; thence South 78 degrees
1-26 East a distance of 550 feet to a point; thence South 52
1-27 degrees 45 minutes East a distance of 220 feet to a point;
1-28 thence South 65 degrees 50 minutes East a distance of 2860
1-29 feet to a point; thence South 58 degrees 40 minutes East a
1-30 distance of 1300 feet to a point and the POINT OF
1-31 BEGINNING; thence South 55 degrees 30 minutes West a
1-32 distance of 1120.0 feet to a point; thence South 74
1-33 degrees 15 minutes East a distance of 290 feet to a point;
1-34 thence South 00 degrees 30 minutes East a distance of 410

2-12 North 55 degrees 30 minutes East a distance of 1170 feet
2-13 to a point located on the center line of the Seaboard
2-14 Systems Railroad track; thence South 31 degrees 30 minutes
2-15 East a distance of 50.1 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
2-16 The property described in this paragraph shall be
2-17 deannexed from the corporate limits on May 1, 1999, and
2-18 shall no longer be included within the corporate limits of
2-19 the city on and after such date."
SECTION 2.
2-20 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
2-21 repealed.
